Did you know that choosing a newborn photographer is much more than just “Do they create beautiful images?” Yes, the art work created for you will provide memories of this joyous time in your life and will be keepsakes for your new little one. But at Goelzer Photography, safety is my first priority. I have taken five IN PERSON workshops that teach baby safety. I also have watched numerous safety videos.
When working in baby photography, it’s important to understand how to gauge a baby’s flexibility, knowing how strong to swaddle a baby, knowing how warm the environment should be as well as gauging the temperature of the baby. When posing baby, it’s of vital importance to understand how to put baby in the pose properly and safely. Beyond safety and art creation, other considerations when choosing your newborn photographer include experience.
I have done newborn photography for six years; location of studio (Goelzer Photography is in Monroe, MI located centrally between Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio); prop availability (I provide everything); and patience (I have two daughters of my own and taught 8-12 grade for about 20 years, I have a lot of patience)!
